One of these days this week, I want to go to Whole Foods and buy fruits and veggies…I’ve never been so this would be my first time and I’ve been craving raspberries and blueberries and I know the best place to get that is there. I also want to get fresh pineapples and kiwi…I think that’s it…but I’m excited to go.

Rift in my plan…

I can never get into the swing of things when it comes to my workout regimen. I start then I stop, I start then I stop and this has got to stop. I want to do something that forces me to do it everyday over a course of days until I’m in the habit of always working out. I know in my head that I will never see the results that I want if I don’t step up my routine and step out of my comfort zone.

In other words:

STOP BEING SO DAMN LAZY!

And I’m taking a stand today! I like Jillian Michaels but I find her workouts to be so long and I almost dread doing them even though I do like them. So I’m going to try either the 30 Day Shred or 6 Weeks 6 Pack Abs in addition to my 3 times a week strength training. I figured that should get me in the habit of exercising daily while not taking too much time. :)

Sunday…

I can’t wait to do my Sunday progress picture. I have been working hard this week and I feel amazing. Slowly getting stronger day by day, I have a friend who’s going to give me 6 weeks 6 pack abs by Jillian Michaels, Cardio Kickboxing by Jillian Michaels and P90X. I’m going to be good for the whole year. I’ve been on this quest to exercise everyday for at least 30 minutes in addition to my 3 day a week strength training (2 days this week due to the weather). My arms are getting more toned each day, so excited!!!!

SOMEONE TELLING ME I’M TOO SKINNY!

“Oh girl you lost too much weight” “I can see your collar bone” “You look anorexic”

I’m tired of the comments. I’m not too skinny, I’m healthy. I love my body and I love to see it change from day to day, week to week and month to month.

I feel for two and a half years (the time I was with my ex) I was trying to be his definition of what’s attractive. He liked thick girls and hips and ass and he wasn’t afraid to say it. I let his opinion on what’s attractive define my views on myself and let’s just say I gained some serious weight.

Now I’m from Louisiana, Marrero to be specific (outskirts of New Orleans, maybe 10 minutes away) where they idolize thick thighs and big hips and I think that may be the core of where my friends comments are stemming from.

I’m over that stigma, I want to be healthy and fit. I love my body and the shape it is. I get excited when I see definition in my arms, when I step on my toes and I can see a calf muscle, the fact that I can make my leg muscle move, these are the things that I love. For my friends to say that I’ve lost too much weight is a bit disheartening and kind of hurts my feelings because I’ve worked damn hard to get where I am. I’m going to continue to work hard towards my goals reguardless of what they think. I’m healthy.

Funny part, I probably eat more than them and I’m smaller :)

Progress

I have a few more progress pictures coming….these things would be so much easier if my computer wasn’t on it’s last leg but that’s something that I plan to invest in very soon. But I hope it inspires someone…sometimes when I feel like shit and a fat tub of lard and I look at these pics and realize I have came a long way and I still have a journey ahead of me. :)
